Col. Roy Smith, who reenacted as the Washington War Dept and member of Lincoln's Staff ( James Getty).
Roy reenacted in his earlier years of reenacting in a Virginia unit the 57th Va. He was always found in Gettysburg meeting and greeting with tourist who walk by.
He was a great man and will be missed by many.

Roy E. "Colonel" Roy E. "Colonel" Smith, Sr. , 67, of Gettysburg, PA died Monday, January 25, 2010 at the York Hospital.
Born September 10, 1942 in Baltimore, MD.
Me and Roy Smith were old friends and go way back in Civil war reenacting.
I remember, I was passing the Regimental Quartermaster. In Gettysburg, Col. Smith was sitting out front on a bench, just chatting with passers-by.
